Dr. Hauschka Skin Care Cosmetics Products

Professional Makeup Artist, Gucci Westman, called out the Rose Day Cream in a blog post on  (unique visitors per month: 1,392,700).  Gucci is featured in an expert interview and mentioned the Rose Day Cream as one of her packing essentials on her recent trip to Antigua.

Dr.Hauschka Cleansers are featured on (unique visitors per month: 16,236,925), the online companion to T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

The Cleansing Cream and Cleansing Milk are mentioned in one of MUA Tina Turnbow’s “Face Time” columns with Swedish model Elsa Hosk. Elsa is the new face of Victoria’s Secret PINK. She lists “a good natural cleanser by Dr.Hauschka” as part of her nightly beauty routine.

The Rose Day Cream is featured on  (unique visitors per month: 1,791,491).  The product is included in a Beauty Essentials interview with fashion designer Olympia Tan. She is quoted as saying “I hate foundation, but I do wear Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream on my face. It feels natural, and I like the smell.”

The Rose Day Cream is featured on (unique visitors per month: 3,974,578), the online companion to Us Weekly magazine.   The product is mentioned in a news story on Jennifer Aniston’s new Aveeno skincare partnership. A quote from Aniston in the March 2012 issue of InStyle is included in the story, in which she called out beauty products that she uses, including Dr.Hauschka: “I also like Dr.Hauschka Rose Day Cream…” also picked up the story (unique visitors per month: 19,323,535), and here is a direct link to that placement:

The Normalizing Day Oil is featured on (unique visitors per month: 5,799,062), the online companion to New York magazine.   The oil is included in a post on “The Cut” in which the editor, former Esquire editor Kurt Soller, reviewed various facial oils over a month-long period and then highlighted his recommendations (and those which he does not recommend). The Normalizing Day Oil is one of his “Recommended” products, and he wrote “before trying this product, I hadn’t concluded that anyone would actually want to switch from lotion to oil.” He liked that a few drops of the oil “made [his] dry skin look fresh while eliminating most of the grossness from that “T-zone” area.”

The Neem Nail Oil Pen, Hand Cream and St.John’s wort Foot Cream are featured on Makeup Artist Jenna Hip’s blog on (unique visitors per month: N/A).  The product is included in a post on actress Lea Michele’s SAG Awards prep and Jenna calls out the above products as three of the mani/pedi products she uses to get Lea red carpet ready.

The Lemon Lemongrass Body Oil is featured on (unique visitors per month: 61,400).  The product is included in a how-to story on beauty oils and is recommended to “firm and fortify the skin to diminish the appearance of cellulite.”

The Cleansing Clay Mask is featured on (unique visitors per month: 584,300)  The product is included in a pore story in which Beverly Hills-based aesthetician, Mila Moursi mentions her top picks for cleansing pores.

The Lemon Bath is featured on (unique visitors per month: 1,101,399).  The product is included in a bathing product round-up and the citrus soak is recommended to perk you up in the morning.

Green MUA Kristen Arnett mentioned the Lipstick #06 in Fortissimo on her personal website (unique visitors per month: 12,000).  She used the product on Two Broke Girls’ actress Beth Behrs in a makeover video that she did with LiveDress (a recently launched social media platform for showcasing your individual style).

The Rose Day Cream is featured in NewBeauty’s 2013 SPA+ issue (circulation: 250,000; page 158). The new annual publication will be dedicated to an overall wellness lifestyle.   The product is included in a story on “Global Getaways.”  It is the highlighted product for the Spa’s page and is described as containing “soothing rose ingredients to nurture and renew sensitive, dry and weather-damaged skin.”

The Facial Toner is featured in the February 2013 issue of Martha Stewart Living (circulation: 2,060,304; page 48).  The product is included in a style tastemaker story on textile designer Ashley Helvey and is listed as one of her “favorite things.” She says the toner “helps me perk up during the day. It’s better than caffeine!”

The Moisturizing Day Cream is featured in the February/March 2013 issue of Makeup Artist magazine (circulation: 11,500; page 104), a bi-monthly trade publication for makeup artists.  The product is included in a breakdown of actress Kristen Stewart’s look from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 with makeup artist Stacey Panepinto. Stacey is one of our MUA friends, and is a fan of the brand.

The Cleansing Milk is featured in the February 2013 issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine (circulation: 198,000; page 17), a national African American-targeted publication with a focus on the entertainment industry.    The product is included in a beauty page story on natural products and is recommended for removing skin’s impurities while “comforting dry, sensitive skin.” The editor credited Whole Foods Market as the national retailer.

The Spring 2013 Decorative Cosmetics Collection and quotes from Mirran Raphaely are featured in the January issue of the trade publication, HAPPI Magazine.   The spring 2013 Decorative launch is highlighted, along with a photo of the Eye shadow Trio, in a story on trends in the natural personal care product industry. The spring 2013 Eye shadow Trio is on page 48 and Mirran Raphaely’s quote is on page 51.  “We provide luxurious experiences that please the senses – our fragrances, composed of essential oils, work wonders to soothe and energize – however, the goal of our products is to support skin health through natural, gentle transformation. Dr.Hauschka Establishes NEW Fair Trade Initiative in Ethiopia

New York, NY (October 23, 2012) – Dr.Hauschka Skin Care is proud to announce their support of the Terra PLC Damask Rose Farm, a new fair trade initiative in Ethiopia. Dr.Hauschka Skin Care manufacturer WALA Heilmittel is helping to create a self-reliant and economically sustainable community by establishing a biodynamic resource for Damask rose essential oil, a key ingredient in the Dr.Hauschka range.

Seven years ago, Dr.Hauschka Skin Care provided Ethiopian farmer Fekade Lakew with rose cuttings and introduced him to a consultant to train and advise on biodynamic cultivation methods. In 2012, Lakew distilled his first batch of rose essential oil and initiated the biodynamic certification process. Once certified, his farm will be the sole certified biodynamic source of essential rose oil in Africa.

A key benefit of growing roses near the equator is that the lifespan of the bloom increases substantially, giving farmers twice the time to harvest, and requiring fewer pickers who can often be employed beyond the typical picking season. Ethiopian roses in particular are nearly twice as heavy as blossoms from other countries resulting in a greater yield from fewer plants.

Dr.Hauschka Skin Care has committed to purchasing all of the rose oil produced at Fekade Lakew’s farm for a period of ten years, and 60-70% thereafter. This ensures that the initiative has ample time to establish itself without becoming dependent upon a single customer for all its revenue in the long run.

Damask rose essential oil from Ethiopia will be used in the formulations of nearly all Dr.Hauschka products, including Rose Day Cream, Rose Body Oil, Rose Body Moisturizer, and many of the lip and eye cosmetics. When a Dr.Hauschka customer purchases products featuring this star ingredient, she helps support the growth of this fair trade effort in Ethiopia—as well as Dr.Hauschka’s other rose cultivation projects around the globe.
